Baseline Factor

The Baseline Factor option determines the amount of baseline removal which is applied to the input spectrum. ZNova uses a special algorithm to estimate the baseline noise and remove it from the input spectrum. You set the baseline factor, depending on the "humpiness" of your ESI spectrum. Use the following guide to determine what level of baseline removal to apply:

• Off = 0 (generally not recommended)
• Normal/Low = 0.5
• Medium = 0.8
• High = 1.0
• Very High = 1.2
